{"id":86,"date":"2019-02-01T19:38:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-01T19:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hypno-cbt.com\/college\/?p=86"},"modified":"2026-11-05T11:23:48","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T11:23:48","slug":"how-retraining-increased-my-hypnotherapy-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hypno-cbt.com\/college\/insights\/how-retraining-increased-my-hypnotherapy-business\/","title":{"rendered":"How retraining with the College increased my Hypnotherapy Business"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Celia Griver was already trained as a Hypnotherapist before taking our hypnotherapy training course &#8211; here she explains how the Diploma enhanced her business and client experience.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Celia has a background as Behaviour Change Counsellor in the NHS and as an International Development Executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAlthough I was already qualified, I chose to take the Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy to add to my toolbox of skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I completely changed everything I did&nbsp;following the hypnotherapy training and now I only use Hypno-CBT\u00ae with clients.&nbsp;I find it is a clear approach and clients are attracted by it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I explain to clients how I use evidence-based protocols and how this means the treatment is more likely to be effective &#8211; this helps clients to feel reassured.&nbsp; It also means I tend not to get any more clients who think one session of hypnosis will cure a 30 year problem; instead, I get clients who are committed to a programme of therapy.&nbsp; It also enables me to differentiate myself in a saturated market as not just another hypnotherapist, but one with a specific, evidence-based approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The diploma is theoretically rich and has given me an array of additional tools to use with clients.&nbsp; It is structured in such a way that it complements my existing skillset.&nbsp; I was very impressed by the quality of the feedback I received which is thorough and detailed and subsequently helped me to develop my practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through my work in the NHS I have worked with behavioural change and felt that the fact that the diploma is evidence-based was very much in line with my approach.&nbsp; To be honest, I discovered the College when I was halfway through my original training course and realised it was more in line with how I thought, but at that stage I needed to continue with the route I had taken.&nbsp; I had always intended to add the evidence-based approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of the course, I have now developed a mindfulness practice which is important not just on a personal level but also in the way I work with clients:&nbsp; it has given me a self-care tool that I can use, particularly when I have back to back clients.&nbsp; This practice of a few minutes of mindfulness I learnt during the course helps me decompress between clients and also ensure I am totally present for each client.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Celia told us that she now has a waiting list of six weeks for her hypnotherapy practice.<br>Celia&#8217;s\u00a0website is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.blossomhypnotherapy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.blossomhypnotherapy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hypnotherapy Diploma Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find out more about the <a href=\"\/college\/diploma\/\">Diploma&nbsp;here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View <a href=\"\/college\/fees-and-booking\/\">Dates here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read our <a href=\"\/college\/faq\/\">Training FAQ<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read about <a href=\"\/college\/course-accreditation\/\">Accreditation<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celia Griver was already trained as a Hypnotherapist before taking our hypnotherapy training course &#8211; here she explains how the Diploma enhanced her business and client experience.
