Our flagship qualification, The Level 5 Higher Diploma, is a Customised Qualification accredited by NCFE, a government-regulated national awarding organisation.

The Level 5 Higher Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is exclusive to our training organisation and sets a new standard for excellence in hypnotherapy practitioner training.

To help demonstrate the difficulty and depth of study, NCFE has benchmarked the qualification’s learning outcomes and assessment criteria at Level 5 using national framework descriptors. Qualification Details

Assessment: to gain The Level 5 Higher Diploma, learners complete our full diploma training programme. This is assessed via 4 supervised case studies and a written assessment.

Accreditation: accredited (certified) by no less than 10 professional organisations including key UK registers: GHR, GHSC, NCH, RICBT and more.

About Qualification Levels

This Diploma is delivered as an NCFE-accredited Customised Qualification.

Some training providers use “Level” numbers to describe their own internal, self-certified course structure without any external oversight.

If you are comparing courses, one simple check is to look for independent external verification.

Our qualification includes rigorous external quality assurance and an annual monitoring review by NCFE. NCFE has independently benchmarked the learning outcomes of this course at a Level 5 difficulty, meaning the Level represents an objective, externally verified benchmark of rigorous study, rather than just our own internal rating.

What is Hypno-CBT®? →

In the Diploma training programme you get trained in our Hypno-CBT® Toolbox – 35 evidence techniques which give you a wide array of choices from which to build customised and tailored treatment plans for your clients.

What does “evidence-based” mean?

This means what we teach is based on research into the nature of hypnosis, what can be treated with hypnotherapy, what other psychotherapies are effective and is rooted in widely-accepted psychological principles. Read more about what evidence-based hypnotherapy means in practice.

Few people know that hypnosis is a serious research topic in psychology, with three dedicated academic journals and hypnosis research labs in the most famous universities in the world – including Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley and UCL.

In our courses we look at both experimental research – that’s research into how hypnosis works – and also clinical research – or what hypnosis can be used for.

Although it is a very scientific approach, we make it simple and understandable (just as you would for clients – for example see our Client Factsheet – a handout you can give clients to immediately have them understand hypnosis and hypnotherapy in simple common sense ways.

The LiveStream Webcast format offers live group teaching from home.

The Online Diploma format lets you watch recorded lectures in your own time and arrange 18 hours of one-to-one tutoring around your schedule. It includes 12 months of unlimited supervised practice sessions: two-hour sessions run four times a week, with practice partners provided.

Of course just because we have qualified and launched our practice our learning does not stop there. We learn from each and every client – and critically you will be supported in this by a supervisor from our expertly trained Hypno-CBT® Supervisors team.
